While there are many of us who wish to lose weight, we do not always know the difference between the loss of fat and the loss of muscle. Since we would all like to avoid the loss of muscle and the arrival of loose skin, this military diet allows you to couple the correct amount of aerobic exercise with a diet plan that creates the necessary caloric deficit.
It starts by consuming a proper breakfast and your day one breakfast includes one cup of caffeinated black coffee, two tablespoons of peanut butter on whole wheat toast and one half of a grapefruit. Almond butter and hummus are acceptable peanut butter replacements for those who have allergies. Lunch consists of a cup of coffee (without sugar or milk), a slice of toast and a cup of tuna.
The day 1 diet ends with three ounces of lean minced meat, a cup of green beans, an apple and half a banana. Once day two begins, breakfast consists of a half a banana and scrambled eggs on toast. Coffee or tea is acceptable. Day two’s lunch? A cup of cottage cheese, one boiled egg and five crackers. Your day two dinner will include a cup of broccoli, two sausages, a half cup of carrots and a half cup of banana that includes vanilla ice cream.
The last day commences with a starvation style breakfast and you will need to be content with a slice of cheese, an apple and five crackers. Lunch is just an egg and a slice of plain toast, so leave that Nutella in the cupboard please. Your final meal on the third day is as follows: one cup of vanilla ice cream, half a banana and a cup of tuna.
There is to be no snacking between meals and you cannot follow this diet with a harmful binge period. No alcohol is to be consumed and while we would like to achieve that perfect six pack, it cannot be done without the proper regimen. Dieting is not for those who are expecting immediate results and if you would like to formulate a dieting plan that is best for you, be sure to consult your doctor for advice.
If you have friends and family members who are looking for the best possible way to shed those unwanted pounds in a short period of time, the military diet is the way to go. Do not partake in this diet if you are someone who has a history of yo-yo dieting and you should meet with a trusted medical professional to make sure that there are not any additional health risks.
